POST FOOTING FOR DECK SUPPORT

Footing Pad is blend of high strength plastic and fiberglass fibers that can be used as a footing for deck post that will meet building code requirements.

The posts (min. 4x4) location or spacing is to be determined by the deck area to be supported by the post for the local soil capacity (See Support Information).

  • Dig the hole a little larger than 10” in diameter and deep enough to be below the local frost line. Clean out loose soil and level bottom of hole.
  • Place the Footing Pad into the hole smooth side down.
  • Use the post to tamp the Footing Pad into place.
  • Position the post on the pad to the specific location
  • Replace the dirt around the footing and compact.

Tested by NTA Testing Laboratories, Inc. in accordance with International Code Concil- Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), acceptance criteria AC49.
made in USA by: AG-CO, Inc. 701 West State St. St. Johns, MI 48879

Footing Pad is easy to handle and install. Developed to provide an economical way of distributing the deck post loads to the soil in an efficient manner.
